In this children’s center, each week about 100 children of primary school age are taken care of. The children receive food, get homework supervision, can do sports and games and get attention at this center.

Often these children are part of single parent families, from which the parent has to work all day to keep their heads above water. The children go to school half days and would spend the other half of the day without shelter by hanging out “on the street”. Because of the center, we see that many children are able to develop well and end up well.

During the Corona pandemic the children support will continue but with home visits, so the contact with the children can be continued. The DGS Foundation supports this children’s center with a financial contribution, through a colleague who is directly involved in this foundation.
